Cody was born and raised in Orange, Texas and graduated from Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School. Before joining our staff, he served as an elementary school teacher for five years between Brenham ISD and Waller ISD, and as a missionary for three years in southeastern Europe with Campus Crusade for Christ. Cody is a graduate of Lamar University (BGS) in Family and Consumer Sciences, Computer Science, and Communications, and Lamar State College - Orange (AS) in Business. He is certified in Childhood Ministry through the Texas Baptists Center for Church Health and holds additional certificates in Biblical Studies from Wisdom Bible Institute of Orange, Apologetics from Biola University, and English Linguistics from Birmingham City University. Cody and his wife, Angelina, have been married since 2009 and are blessed with two children: Eliza and Jonathan.
