BFBC Kids Ministry
As children arrive in the morning, they will have an opportunity to spend some time in our ministry’s “Fun Zone”. This is an exciting game room where the kids can enjoy a little unstructured play and interact with other children, before the beginning of lessons. Once it’s time for Bible Study, 1st-4th graders and 5th-6th graders will break into their own separate groups.
1st-4th start their time as a large group, where they play a game (related to the lesson) and learn a biblical story/teaching from scripture. They then break into small groups, where they get to further interact with the story/teaching in fun and engaging ways.
5th-6th go to our Preteen Room, where they’ll look at a different discussion topic each week, related to common questions that preteens have about the faith. They’ll play a game related to the day’s topic, study together what the Bible has to say about the issue, and get the chance to discuss their thoughts as friends.
As children arrive, they will have time to either play on our playground or inside the Fun Zone (depending on the weather), until it’s time to start. Kids will then be divided into three groups - 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, and 5th/6th. Every group will rotate between the areas of Food, Recreation, and Bible Study. 1st-4th eat at around 6:10pm and 5th-6th at around 6:30pm.
Vacation Bible School
VBS is open for children between the ages of completed Kindergarten and completed 6th grade. It’s 4 days of Christ-centered fun with a chance for parents to join in on Parent Night!
Kids between the ages of completed 3rd grade and completed 6th grade are eligible to attend Children’s Camp! Camp is a special opportunity for kids to have a blast, make friends, and build lifelong memories. It’s intended to aid them in their spiritual growth by immersing them in an environment that keeps the focus on Jesus!
This event is for the whole family and takes place annually on the Sunday before Easter. Kids learn about the true meaning of Easter during Sunday School and then after church, gather together with the rest of their family to enjoy a potluck meal, yard games, and Easter egg hunt with prizes for golden eggs.
