Charles Covin joined the staff as Worship Pastor of Brenham’s First Baptist Church in August of 2014. Raised in the home of a Baptist minister, he received and surrendered to God’s calling to ministry while in high school. Charles met the love of his life and worship ministry partner, Bonnie, at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX, where he received a degree in Church Music. Previously, they served alongside the wonderful people of First Baptist Church, Lorena, TX, and First Baptist Church, Edna, TX. The Covins are blessed to have eight beloved children: Wesley, Garrison, Sabrina, Paisley, Benjamin, Vera, Jude, and Miriam. Charles and Bonnie are also privileged to be a part of the ministry of our First Baptist Church School, where Bonnie teaches music and computer classes and Charles coaches boys’ sports teams. Above all, they’re passionate about leading God’s people in expressing their adoration for HIM, and are humbled and grateful to be instruments in the hands of a gracious and loving Savior!
